About

Niamh is a ceramic designer/maker who has recently moved to Leeds and set up her studio at Hope House in Mabgate. She works in porcelain and aims to create fun, colourful objects that brighten up your day.

Having first encountered clay at school in Ireland, she moved to London to study Ceramic Design at Central Saint Martins. She lived in London developing her practise alongside working in ceramic education. She is passionate about passing skills on to others and finds teaching incredibly rewarding.

Niamh uses stained porcelain to purposefully add randomness to the patterns created in the mould. This act of chance keeps each mug, cup or vase totally unique and means no two are the same.
