The inside is glazed and the outside is sanded to create a satin smooth surface. Hand wash well to avoid tea stains, although each mug is dishwasher and microwave safe too.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eAll seconds are completely functional.
